Talking to my children earlier this week about the Roe vs Wade overturn.
I told them, this is not about abortions directly. It is about who decides. It is about Federal power vs States’ rights.
I reminded them, the civil war we experienced in this country was over who holds power.
Aren’t all wars about that?
Back then, the topic was slavery, but the issue was States’ rights. Who legislates the issue of slavery?
Today is exactly the same.
The topic is abortion, but the issue is State’s rights. Who holds the power to legislate the issue of abortioin. NOT according to opinion, or public opinion, or majority opinion, but according to the Constitution of the United States.
When we see this decision officially handed down, you will watch people lose their minds. Maybe on both sides of the issue. But remember, not one abortion will be illegal the day that decision is handed down. Not one.
Only, the power to legislate will be kicked back to the States. The States will individually decide whether abortion will be legal in their jurisdictions.
So the abortion industry will thrive in some States as they remain readily available, while it is banned in others. Some sort of abortion tourism may emerge out of this. I would not be surprised.
But when someone incites bickering, fighting, and wars, watch out! The propaganda machine will crank out some whoppers of “misinformation!” Straight out lies. All to stir the desired outcome.
From the mouth of their own mentors – “Never let a good crisis go to waste.”
Let me state this again. Clearly.
SCOTUS will not hand down a decision concerning whether it is legal in this county to have an abortion. So do not be fooled by the screams, wails and sob stories. They will abound. Evil will not let this rest. Evil will use it to its fullest.
SCOTUS will only hand down a decision concerning who gets to decide. That’s it.
You must walk by the Spirit and be wise. You must keep your eyes on Jesus Christ, walk in His Truth, LOVE at all times – especially those who mistreat you (could be some of that in our future…). Believe your King. Obey your King. Walk according to His battle strategies. When others yell, you are to love, have compassion, but speak TRUTH. As the Spirit leads. Don’t get sucked into Lucifer’s tactics.
Stand strong in the power of HIS might and walk in wisdom!
